CBD (Cannabidiol) is a compound naturally present in the cannabis plant. It is one of more than 100 phytocannabinoids that have been identified by scientists. Consuming cannabidiol causes no dependence/addiction, and unlike THC - another molecule of the cannabis plant, it is not psychoactive. This means that you will not feel "high" or euphoric when using CBD. CBD is believed to have many benefits, most of which need to be scientifically proven. In particular, cannabidiol is used to combat stress, anxiety, sleep disorders, for muscle or joint recovery, or to support other treatments for conditions such as epilepsy.
The phytocannabinoids in the cannabis plant mimic the endocannabinoids naturally present in our bodies, so they can act as a 'complement' - helping us beyond what our bodies can produce on their own.
CDB acts by binding to cannabinoid receptors in our body's endocannabinoid system (ECS), which is responsible for our overall well-being.
These receptors are present in almost every tissue and cell type in the human body. This explains the apparently very wide range of possible uses for CBD: from treatment of stress and anxiety, through relief of pain and inflammation, to the treatment of diseases such as certain forms of epilepsy.
There are many reasons for consumers to go towards CBD. Some virtues are confirmed by scientific research while others have yet to be confirmed by science. The latter is still in its infancy concerning CBD but research is numerous, new benefits of cannabidiol are frequently discovered and give many hopes.
CBD is commonly used to cope with these ailments/symptoms:
In the context of sport: curvatures, painful joints, muscle pain
CBD is also used in the United States for the treatment of severe forms of epilepsy. However, it is important to note that in Europe and in France in particular, CBD products cannot be sold as a drug/therapeutic treatment under any circumstances. They are indeed considered as dietary supplements.

In France, it is indeed the THC which is considered illegal, and not the CBD. The latter is not considered a narcotic substance and this regulation does not therefore apply to cannabidiol. It is in a grey area insofar as it is neither considered legal nor illegal under French law. Its marketing is possible if three cumulative conditions are met:
From hemp varieties included in an exhaustive list validated by the EU
Only the seeds and fibres of the plant can be used.
However, it should be noted that European law is relatively more flexible, and theoretically prevails over French law. European law (EU Delegated Regulation 639/2014 and European Regulation 1307/2013) states that the cultivation of varieties of Cannabis sativa L. is permitted in the EU provided that they are listed in the EU's "Common Catalogue of Varieties of Agricultural Plant Species" and that the THC content of the plant does not exceed a concentration of 0.2%..
This regulation applies of course to Belgium, a member of the EU. As far as Switzerland is concerned, CBD products are legal as long as they contain less than 1% of THC.
Whatever the case may be, don't worry: the Kanabiz team is constantly keeping up to date with the latest developments. All the products you will find on Kanabiz are legal in your country.
CBD contained in the many available products can exist in different forms, or rather in different environments: CBD isolate (the "pure" CBD molecule only), the CBD with Broad Spectrum (or Broad Spectrum - of CBD surrounded by all other cannabinoids except THC), and the CBD with Full Spectrum (or Full Spectrum - of CBD surrounded by all other cannabinoids, including THC).
